A deadly hailstorm threatens a family's race against time to save their son's life. Dan and Dr. Christy Blanchard (Ted McGinley and Linda Purl) are over-protective parents of Maria (Nicole Pagg) and Jason (Myles Jeffrey), a twelve-year-old boy in dire need of a liver transplant. When the plane carrying Jason's liver crashes into a mountainside, Dan, an emergency dispatcher, miraculously recovers the liver. But the storm has ravaged the town, and Jason is trapped inside a collapsed trailer with Pete Crane (Stacy Keach), the owner of a used car shop. Dan must not only battle the unrelenting storm, but find a way to free his son in time for his wife to perform the operation.
